I am making this entry with love for big_man_now who is no longer with us. He looked for more bright things in his life -- he was the brightest thing in the lives of lots of people, especially those who loved him.

We will miss you forever, Michael. May you find the bright things you needed where you have gone.

It has been over two months since I have taken the time to write anything down here...

Dark things... Lost the job of my dreams. Must find new job. People you love in your life being absent.

Bright things... People you love in your life coming back. Friends to share lifes joys with.

I'm going to be working on getting more bright things...

Hope everyone out there has a grand day!

  Then to then, 2003

A life full of events, the biggest being Trilogy Tuesday! Kathleen and I arrived to hold the line for our fellows (shades of standing in line to get the tickets in the first place) Rusty, Travis, Paul and (standing in for Mike) Steve. Rusty brings the Gamma World stuff and I make up my remaining charaters while Kathleen takes a break from being in line. Paul and Travis eventually get fetched, and we play some Shadowfist (sorry Kathleen) and we have mall food for supper.

Paul and I camp out (thanks for the tent Rusty and Kathleen) for a cold night of listening to people play Munchin all night, double shudders! Steve pops in with some hot cocoa in the morning, and takes paul off to get his ticket he left at home. Rusty and Kathleen arrive with some breakfast and much needed hot tea. We break down the tent and wait for the theatre to let us in.

Line finally moves, we get in and get good seats and the Lord of the Rings begin. The Fellowship of the Ring was even better than ever with the additional footage and the emotionally charged atmosphere of like minded fans. The Two Towers rocked, the emotional roller coaster continued and Gollum steals the show while failing to get the One Ring. Then the Return of the King. All new, all all great! Battle scenes of epic proportions, characters of astounding depth and a story that moves your very soul.

Three five star movies, seen with five star friends equaled a five star day in my life!

December 13th, 2003

Kathleen's Ebay purchase, a box of Shadowfist Netherworld arrived. I dropped by and paid for and picked up some. Had a cookie and said hello to the extended family.

  Work, very busy there...

After work stop by the commune, and vist with Rusty, Travis and Paul who all liked Kill Bill more than I did. Rusty had to go, but the rest of us played some Shadowfist. We added a pack of Netherworld to our fixed decks. Travis won both games we played... We need a better signal for 'let Travis win', getting kicked under the table by Paul is making my leg sore! I'm just kidding, Trav's just that good!

  G'night all!

I know, all work and no play makes for dull weblog. Sorry, more work.

  Have a great day, anyway!
